Dojo history 1/2...

The Dojo Genbu-Kai Lübeck has been in existence for almost 20 years in which that time Shotokan was practiced exclusively.
Between 1991 and 1993 it changed to Shito-Ryu and since 1993 our Dojo has been registered in the DKV as a Shito-Ryu Dojo.
The change of style has taken place due to good contact between Dr. Roman Westfehling and our present international style head, Sensei Fumio Demura.
With Sensei Demura we haven't only gained from Genbu Kai Shito-Ryu, we also gained a marvellous teacher in Kobudo (training with traditional weapons from Okinawa).

Since 1991 we have held a seminar every year with Demura Sensei in collaboration with Spain, England, France, Greece and Poland. The mutual visits to the respective seminars are already a tradition.
